The Abeille collection, it was on the occasion of Napoleon's coronation ceremony that the coats of arms, crests and heraldic figures of the New Kingdom were officially chosen. The Bee made its appearance very discreetly, by sole will of the Emperor and, for no particular reason, he used them everywhere.
It was also found on court coats, skins, tapestries, carpets, flags. A travel kit in blue morocco, gilded with small irons, on a background of bee plants, preserved at the Carnavalet museum, was the source of inspiration for this collection.
